Hey everyone! Happy Friday! If this is your first time visiting my little corner of the world, welcome! Be sure to join my email list so you know what’s going on around here. 🙂  I have one more (no eye rolling here!! lol) April Paper Pumpkin alternate for you. Can you tell I really like this stamp set?!? I am also using some retiring product, the Garden Impressions DSP and the Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine. Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Thick Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Garden Impressions DSP cut at 3″ x 4″
  • Pear Pizzazz cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″

And yes, this is another “made from scraps” card. Don’t you love using up those scraps? I first stamped my flower in Calypso Coral ink and added the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz also and then added it to the Pear Pizzazz mat. I added the Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine to the scrap of the DSP by adding strips of adhesive to the back and wrapping it around twice and sticking it to the adhesive. Next I adhered that layer to the card front, then added the flower layer on top with dimensionals. I had a double bow of the same twine and added it to the the card with a Mini Glue Dot. I wanted to add some pearls, but not just plain pearls. This is where those Stampin’ Blends come in handy! I colored some using my Dark Old Olive (we don’t have Blends in Pear Pizzazz at the moment) and some in the Dark Calypso Coral and added them to the card. The perfect accent!

I love that Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive work so well together. I probably should have gone with the Light Old Olive, but oh well! lol For the inside I stamped the flower in Calypso Coral again, but stamped off twice so that it was very light. Then I stamped the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz over the flower. I love doing that for the inside, it just ties the whole card together.

I love it! How about you? I have to say that this really has been one of my favorite Paper Pumpkin kits to date. Not sure what Paper Pumpkin is? It is a monthly subscription from Stampin’ Up! for only $19.95 plus tax. Then each month you will get a bright orange box with all the crafty fun you can handle! It comes with full printed directions, an ink spot or sometimes two, dimensionals or glue dots and all the paper goodies you’ll need to complete some pretty stinking cute projects. I will tell you too that the May kit is going to be pretty special. It was designed by the co-founder and current board member of SU!, Shelli Gardner. AND it will coordinate with some new Designer Series Paper that will be coming in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. If you would like to subscribe, just go here. Don’t worry about any obligations, you can always cancel your subscription.

If there are any other products that I used today that you would like to order, you can go here to my online store here. The Host Code for May is J7MG9RJM. Remember that the DSP and the twine are retiring, so if those are something you would like to get, don’t wait. Everything on the Last Chance list is on a while supplies last status. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great rest of your day! After all, it’s the beginning of the weekend!!
