Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Hope this finds you all well. Did you catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can watch the replay here. Today’s project is a quick and easy card using the Best Dressed Bundle. I figured after the week(s) we have had, we all needed quick and easy and not to mention, a little retail therapy to boot (no pun intended lol)!  🙂

Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in So Saffron cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Mint Macaron cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
  • Best Dressed DSP cut at 3″ x 4″
  • Whisper White cardstock for the inside cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″

So I have to tell you a little secret….when I was creating this card, I knew I was going to use the shoe image as we all love shoe shopping, well most of us anyways. So I created my card and created the image and when I opened my die set, I didn’t see the shoe die. I thought, “that’s weird! Why have this adorable die set and not include the shoe?” So I cut the little thing out – twice! Once for the sample and once to get ready for my live video. When I sat down to get all the product numbers for this post, I looked at the picture in the catalog of the stamp set and it shows the shoe should have a die. I went back and looked in my pack, no shoe! Then when I looked closer, there is a second sheet of dies!! It had stuck to the top sheet and I never saw it! *slaps forehead* duh!!! So, like any good crafter, I stamped and colored another and cut it out with the die! lol That’s the one I used in the video. The one shown in the picture above was fussy cut. Not too bad either if I say so myself!

After I chose my card base, which was a leftover, I worked on the DSP layer. I glued the DSP layer to the Mint Macaron layer and then added a piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon. The Mint Macaron ribbon in the Jan-Jun 2020 Catalog would go perfectly with this card, but I was out of it. So….WW it is!! I then cut a scrap of Whisper White with one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly set and stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink. I glued the DSP layers to the card front and added the sentiment layer with dimensionals over the ribbon. I then added two of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones and the shoe that I fussy cut. When I added the shoe, I only put a dimensional on the back at the top. The toe of the shoe will rest on the label, which is already popped up with a dimensional.

For the inside, I had a leftover Whisper White layer, so I stamped the shoe on the bottom left and colored it again using the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Isn’t that quick and easy? I did add a shoe to the flap of an envelope on the video. You never want to send out a naked envelope!! lol I hope you liked today’s project. Remember, online shopping is our friend right now and you can do just that to get any of today’s projects!
