Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here! Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that card beautiful? Which is exactly why I didn’t change my card much this week. I love that DSP and just had to use it this week!!

Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Old Olive cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Peaceful Poppies DSP cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″

So as you can see, I just added a layer and cut down my DSP by 1/8″. After I trimmed my DSP, I glued it to the Blackberry Bliss layer. I am out of the ribbon that is pictured in the sample, so I chose some of the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon and colored it with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends, which is our version of alcohol markers. I love to create matching ribbon and other accents with our Blends markers! Once I colored the ribbon, I added it to the layers by trimming a piece just long enough to wrap around the layers and then taped them down, and then glued it all to the card base. Next I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and punched it out with the Label Me Lovely punch and added it to the card front with dimensionals. I then added another small piece of colored ribbon and tied it in a knot next to the label. By adding your ribbon this way, you can control right where you need that knot without any hassles! I then added some rhinestones and called it done for the outside.

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink on a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ layer of Whisper White cardstock and then layered that to a scrap of Blackberry Bliss cardstock that I trimmed to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and then added them to the inside.

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create the card exactly as the sample or change it up. Since it’s your take on the sample you can change it up a little or a lot, it’s all up to you! Don’t worry if you’re not a member, just request to join; we’d love to have you come and play along with us!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week. Have a great rest of your day!
